Before searching for providers in the CHS network, please take note of the following information:

Carolinas HealthCare System's network includes all non-behavioral health MedCost Preferred providers with the exception of Presbyterian Hospital-Charlotte and Presbyterian Hospital-Matthews. (This includes Presbyterian Imaging Center, Presbyterian Orthopedic Hospital, Presbyterian Same Day Surgery, Presbyterian Surgery Center-Southpark and Presbyterian Surgery Center-Huntersville.) These facilities are out of network except in the case of a medical emergency.

CHS employee coverage for mental health and substance abuse services is coordinated through Carolina Behavioral Health Alliance, LLC. In order to receive benefits for non-emergency care you must receive advance certification by calling CBHA at 1-800-475-7900 and you must use a CHBA provider.
