Benefit Administration
Our self-funded clients rely on us to fully administer all segments of
their employee health plans. We have developed an extensive portfolio
of services to meet each client’s individual needs and health plan objectives,
such as complete Plan enrollment and implementation, stop-loss underwriting
and administration, subrogation, Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and
Health Spending Account (HSA)/Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) administration,
and COBRA support.
Care Management
Care Management options provide high quality, cost effective health management
services for clients and members. There are four core components in
our Care Management product suite to assist members in living healthier
lives, regardless of where they are along the continuum of care: Personal
Care Management, SmartStarts (maternity program), Inpatient/Outpatient
Utilization Review, and Catastrophic Case Management.
Health and Wellness
The Succeed™ health risk assessment is a tool to determine
your current health status and offer suggestions for improvement. Based
on the assessment results, participants may be directed to the Personal
Care Management program; a personalized lifestyle management program—Breathe™
(smoking cessation), Relax™ (stress management), Nourish™ (nutrition),
and Balance™ (weight control); or a customized behavioral health program,
such as Overcoming™ Depression, Overcoming™ Binge Eating, and Overcoming™
Insomnia.
Networks
MedCost Preferred is the largest independent PPO network in North and
South Carolina. To meet the needs of our clients outside the Carolinas,
MedCost also maintains positive relationships with other strong national
and regional networks.
Reporting
Through a commitment to technology and ongoing investment in leading edge hardware
and software, MedCost provides precise, customized reporting to help our
