Before searching for providers in the CHS network, please take note of the following information:

Carolinas HealthCare System's network includes all non-behavioral health MedCost Preferred providers with the exception of all Novant Health facilities. These facilities are out of network providers except in the case of a medical emergency. This includes but not limited to Rowan Regional Medical Center, Presbyterian HealthCare Hospitals, Presbyterian Imaging Center, Orthopedic Hospital, Same Day Surgery Center, Surgery Center–South Park and Surgery Center-Huntersville. This is not a complete listing.

CHS employee coverage for mental health and substance abuse services is coordinated through Carolina Behavioral Health Alliance, LLC. In order to receive benefits for non-emergency care you must receive advance certification by calling CBHA at 1-800-475-7900 and you must use a CHBA provider.
